Our mission
The SURJ Corvallis mission is to act in solidarity with Black, Indigenous, and People of Color to dismantle white supremacy and work toward the liberation of all. Through community organizing, mobilizing, and education, we seek to move white people to act passionately and with accountability as part of a multiracial majority. SURJ Corvallis fosters a space where all are welcome to build relationships and skills for change. We envision a society where we struggle together with love—for justice, human dignity, and a sustainable world.
Our values
We value taking risks, making mistakes, learning and changing behavior, and persevering. We endeavor to call people into anti-racist work. We value holding ourselves accountable to the organizing and leadership of Black, Indigenous, and People of Color.
